Almay Smart Shade Blush - Berry

Hey there:)

If I'm honest, I don't really own that many blushers...it isn't because I don't love them, because I do! But because I tend to use a lot of lipsticks that I think will good on my cheeks. I do, however, want to start building up my collection and I was intrigued when I saw this...

I'll admit it, when I first swatched this on the back on my hand I thought it looked a bit gross, and when blended it looked quite dark, almost as if I had a giant bruise on my hand, so I wasn't really expecting it to be that great but thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised... Once it's applied to the face, it kinda adapts to your natural skin tone, creating the perfect shade for you and here's how it turned out on me...

I was left with this gorgeous dusky pink (almost identical to the natural flush of my cheeks) that sets onto with skin with a matte finish, making it feel and look as though you're naturally flushed. You only need to use the tiniest amount to achieve the intensity above^, but it is buildable so you can create more depth if you desire. As it's a liquid product, I found it far easier and quicker to apply than say a powder blush as it only requires the use of your fingertips to blend, so you don't have to worry about overloading your brush with product... In terms of longevity, I can't say I noticed it lasted any longer than ordinary blushers, but as the packaging is nice and compact, it's easily transported so you can touch up whenever you want and wherever you are.

I'm someone who likes a product to smell good but not too strong, otherwise I tend to get nauseated or I'll have a massive headache all day. Luckily, this has a really pleasant fruity, foundation scent to it, much like the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation which is one of my favourite smelling foundations... The only down side to this product is that there isn't really that many colours to choose from, but if you are lucky enough to find the shade you want then I would definitely recommend giving it a whirl and at £6.44 it's worth a try...
